Contort, Pirouette. Grimace.
  • An investigation of the trumpet and organ’s flexibility as musical instruments, this project explores the idea of breath as a musical figure, and as a type of spatial movement. The title of the piece is taken from Luis Bunuel’s tongue-in-cheek portrayal of a trumpet (with mute) from his text “Orchestration.”
