Croi(t)re
  • A collaboration with choreographer Béryl Breuil, croi(t)re addresses the strangeness behind the phenomena of growth. A gradual evolution takes shape in a setting densified by the coexistence of sound waves, plant life, and a confusing presence. The dancers, seen as poetically modified organisms composed of fragments of various origins and intentions, and of more or less harmonious molecular structures, see their coping and maladjustment capacities brought into play by a trajectory in which apparent simplicity allows the almost invisible processes of change, choice, and adjustment to be seen. Through controlled feedback and delay, sound excited by the performance space's resonant frequencies gradually invade the perceived silence, affecting the density of the space and texture of bodies, while amplifying the reality of an environment in continuous motion.
